Despite much criticism in Türkiye, the Turkish government declared a day of mourning and ordered the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv lower its flag to half-mast in honor of slain Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. Israel’s foreign minister Israel Katz summoned the Turkish deputy ambassador to protest the decision and reiterated that Israel will not accept expressions of participation in mourning for a murderer like Ismail Haniyeh. Katz's online social media statement targeted the Erdogan regime and criticized it for being repressive, referring to the latest Instagram ban in the country.

The Crimean Bridge may be destroyed in the coming months, and work is underway to do so. According to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Yevgeny Yerin, Ukraine could hypothetically use Magura sea drones to strike the Crimean Bridge. But, according to him, this would be a "comprehensive solution", that is, such an attack would not be limited to the use of sea drones alone. At the same time, work is currently underway to improve the Ukrainian Magura surface drones, in particular in terms of range. The bridge was heavily damaged by Ukrainian strikes in October 2022 and July 2023, prompting Russia to take steps to further defend the structure.

Yemen-based Iran-proxy rebel group Houthis claimed to have downed a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over Yemen's Saada Province. The Houthis released footage showing the wreckage of the drone, which dates as the eighth American UAV downed by the rebel group. Additionally, the Iran-backed group targeted the Liberia-flagged vessel MV Groton in the Gulf of Aden with ballistic missiles. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree described the attack as part of the fourth phase of maritime escalation.
