Syria’s state TV is reporting an Israeli strike has hit a residential area in the capital Damascus. At least two people were reportedly killed in the Kafr Sousa neighborhood. The strike damaged the fourth floor of a ten-story building and dozens of cars. Israel has launched hundreds of air strikes in Syria, mainly targeting security and military facilities.

Two Himars missiles launched by Ukraine have reportedly killed at least 60 Russian soldiers. The missiles reportedly struck a Russian military training ground in Donetsk Oblast's Volnovakha district. Volnovakha and the surrounding areas were captured in March 2022 during the first weeks of Russia invasion of Ukraine.

He also reiterated Albanian solidarity with the Palestinian people. The United States has vetoed for the third time a UN resolution on Gaza at the UN Security Council, this time one that was put forward by Algeria calling for an immediate ceasefire. The balance of votes in the 15-member security council was 13-1 with UK abstaining.

In an exclusive interview on tensions in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia's foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said his country was "concerned" about a regional war. He communicated the pending risks by posing that "the longer the conflict in Gaza goes on, the more danger there is for miscalculation, the more danger there is for escalation".
