Ukraine launches a drone strike that sparked a huge inferno at an oil depot in the town of Klintsy in western Russia. As Kyiv called it 'fair' retaliation for Moscow’s strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, the escalating cross-border attacks had a huge fireball tearing through the oil depot’s storage tanks, forming a black smoke cloud over the town.

The French Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, has accused Karim Benzema, an Algerian-French footballer who is currently playing as a striker for and captaining the Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, of having 'notorious' links to the Muslim Brotherhood. However, no evidence was offered to support this claim. In response, Benzema has filed a defamation suit against the French minister for making unfounded allegations.
