Israel's "Declaration of War"

LEBANON

The leader of the militant group Hezbollah says Israel aimed to kill thousands of people in Lebanon as it detonated communication devices this week. 37 people have died after two days of explosions across Lebanon. The blasts came in two waves - beginning with thousands of pagers, including those used by the militants. Then, a day later, other devices — including hand-held radios — detonated. Some of those targeted in the second wave were laying victims of the first attack to rest.

EU Deducts €200M for Fine

The European Commission has triggered a special procedure to deduct the €200 million fine that the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has imposed on Hungary over the country's long-standing restrictions on the right to asylum. The UAE has stepped up its humanitarian efforts and pledged $10.25 million (AED 37.65 million) to support Sudanese women refugees and launch critical aid projects in Chad. However Sudanese refugees in Chad have reportedly rejected humanitarian aid offered by the UAE and demanded it cease military support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the paramilitary group involved in the conflict.
