Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the Turkish Parliament in Ankara. In a 46-minute speech attended by Erdogan, his ministers, and lawmakers from all political parties, Abbas accused the United States of prolonging the "catastrophe" by supporting Israel and vetoing resolutions at the United Nations Security Council. He stated that he would go to Gaza as soon as possible, saying his life was no more valuable than the lives of the children living there, subjected to the ongoing slaughter. In his speech, Abbas vowed to do his best to prosecute Netanyahu and to build an independent Palestinian state.
