Palestinians mark the 76th anniversary of the Palestinian “Nakba”, commemorating the displacement of 750,000 Palestinians in 1948. Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot multiple times after a political event, attacked outside a cultural centre in the town of Handlova. The assassination attempt suspect is Juraj Cintula, a 71-year-old poet recognized as a government critic who opposed Ukraine war. He posted online rants against Slovakian PM before opening fire. Fico was immediately hospitalized in a life-threatening situation.
