A landslide hit a tourist shelter trapping 16 people inside after a thunderstorm packing heavy rains moved through Slovakia’s High Tatras. During his visit to Russia on July 8, Armenia's Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with the UAE's Foreign Trade Minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Technology Minister Omar Ahmed Suwaina Al Suwaidi. Papoyan pitched plans to set up a large industrial park and special economic zone in Gyumri to the United Arab Emirates as a search for foreign investors continues. Thousands of Sudanese refugees escaping the war into Egypt are being unlawfully detained in secret detention camps near the border, then deported back into the conflict without a chance to claim asylum. More than 500,000 Sudanese nationals have fled to Egypt, but in June last year, Egypt’s government canceled a visa exemption policy, making it nearly impossible for them to enter the country through legal avenues.
