The Turkish state energy company BOTAS and British oil giant Shell have signed a 10-year liquefied natural gas agreement. Türkiye's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said around 4 billion cubic metres will be delivered annually starting from 2027. Bayraktar also said the deal will provide the option of receiving LNG from the filling port and unloading it to European terminals. Earlier this year, Turkiye had also inked an LNG agreement with the US's largest oil company, ExxonMobil. Ankara has made significant investments in LNG facilities and natural gas pipelines over the past ten years.

Moscow says its forces have recaptured around 10 settlements from Ukraine's military in Russia's Kursk region. A Russian commander said that happened in August. Kyiv launched a surprise incursion into Russian territory on August 6th, more than two years after Moscow invaded Ukraine.

A Kosovo policeman and three Serb gunmen were killed in a shootout in the village of Banjska in the country's north last September. Pristina has accused Serbia of involvement, but Belgrade denied it. Kosovo prosecutors now filed charges against 45 people over planning and instigating the gunfight. Among those charged in absentia is Milan Radoičić, a politician and wealthy businessman with ties to Serbia’s ruling populist party and President Aleksandar Vučić.

The World Health Organization announced the largest medical evacuation from Gaza since October 7 and said at least a quarter of those hurt in the war had “life-changing injuries.” The WHO said that it along with partners evacuated 97 sick and severely injured patients from the war-ravaged Palestinian territory to Abu Dhabi for specialized care.
